Long Day
Maybe it just felt really long.
Maybe something bad happened.
As you rinse and put away your toothbrush you think, 'Please, not another day like this one,' or, 'I hope I have the strength I need for tomorrow.'
Whether you feel dejected or merely weary, I want to tell you this:
What you do is so meaningful.
What you're doing matters. You may not feel all that successful right now, but your children are learning and growing. You are making lasting bonds with your students. In short: You are making the world a better place.
No wonder you feel tired.
Changing the world is hard work. Keep it up!

P.S. Someone emailed me this morning and it really encouraged me. Realizing that I'm not the only one who could benefit from a little encouragement, I was inspired to write this post. Thanks, Niki!

Encouragement just at the right time is always welcome. It was a stressful day for this homeschool mom. Math issues with 5th grader can get the best of me! Thanks.
This came at just the right time. Thank you!
It's soooo hard to see that what you do matters when all your children are young.....and then they grow up and move away from home and get married and have kids and then you see that they are wonderful adults who you really enjoy spending time with when you have the opportunity :-)
So, I'm hear to echo your encouragement....what you do DOES MATTER!
Blessings,
Tammy ~@~
Thanks, no one has told me this for a long time.
Thanks for the support!
I'm needing this today... I just feel like giving up sometimes... Thanks for the reminder...
Thank you for the encouragement! I know that many of us need to hear this!
Thanks for sharing your experience, Tammy. Always nice to have backup <smile>.
Everyone else: Hang in there! We're praying for you regularly.
