MathTacular... again!

Well, if you haven't watched the MathTacular3 Trailer recently--oh, it's also on YouTube--you really should. It's really good. And only 50 seconds long. And I made it. And stuff. So, please, check it out. <smile>

Why am I telling you about this?

Well, because we're gearing up to do another one.

Another one.

This means two things:
  1. I'm not going to have as much time for the blogosphere for a while, and
  2. I'm going to be posting about our adventures while making this thing

Today we had a meeting and discussed our plan of attack and started talking over some of the fun madness we're going to bring you. Nothing particularly exciting about a meeting, so there's nothing really to blog about in that regard.

However, at some point very soon--not sure when--I'm not going to have time to go through my blog feed every day (for the next couple of months while we shoot). So, when that day comes, I would love it if you-all would alert me to the posts you think I should read. Please feel free to email me any links that you think would be particularly interesting/important to Sonlight/me... or any of yours you want to make sure I read (because, I will!).

In September, after principal photography is done, I'll be back to reading your posts every day. If I can somehow fit it into my schedule to go through my feed between when we start and when we end, I will, but I'm not holding my breath... there's a ton to do.

So, sorry, friends, but duty calls. And this is an excellent opportunity to remind you that you can email me from the little graphic link on the right there. ...timely, considering recent events, I say <smile>.

Luke, I'll be sure to email you the *second* there's something you really need to read. You'll come back and look at all your friends' pictures and tell us how our children have grown.

Ok, hope you come back a *little* more frequently than that, but... you know.

Exciting! I really wanted to buy mathtacular 1 & 2 at a recent homeschool conference, but was dissapointed to find out sonlight only sells on the net and over the phone. I didn't end up ordering it, as I reached what I wanted to spend by the time the conference was over.

Does sonlight have any plans to sell directly at the conferences in the future? Or at least the popular add on products such as mathtacular?

I hope you get some positive news with the adoptions soon!

Take care of duty, we understand! I looked at your Mathtacular 2 & 3 videos on Youtube. I'm impressed! When you are done with this project, please do something similar for Hebrew, will you! That's a hard language to wrap your brain around at age 50! WB

Awesome! I shared the news with my "math guy Justin" fans and they were making some joyous noise and can't wait for the new release! Thank you for taking the time away to make these videos - worth every penny and more.

Mrs. C, I'm not going to be gone that long <smile>. And I really do hope I can carve out time to catch up with all of you.

Morgan, Sonlight does not sell anything at conventions for two main reasons--to my understanding: 1. We don't want anyone to feel pressured to buy, and 2. We want people to make the most informed decision they can. So we have representatives there who can answer your questions, give you their contact information, and help you as you start looking into things. Then you can go home and consider all your options and make your choice. Plus, since Sonlight gives you so much, we didn't want people trying to cart around 90lbs of books <smile>. That's a cool idea about having a few add-on products--like MathTacular--available and I'll pass that on. Thanks for the idea, but I think the ideal of letting you consider your options will likely override that, but you never know <smile>.

Prisca, I'll miss being around!

Ken, thanks! <smile>

Warren, <laughing> I'd have to learn Hebrew first myself. But we do sure like the DVDs we make <smile>.

That makes sense. I had been pouring over my sonlight catalog for a couple months, but didn't want to pay shipping on just purchasing a couple products. I think next time I'll just try to find a friend to order with. : )

Morgan, I hear the Cores are really nice <smile>. But, totally: paying shipping can be a bit much if you just need a single item. I hear ya.

My kids will be very excited to get that one, too. Of course I still haven't replaced #3 that Fritz broke before we got to watch it...

Heather, I saw that post. I'm really bummed that you haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Sad times.
