Tonight I'm going to a social media socializing event thingy. ...I don't actually know what's going on at this shindig, but I'm bringing my new business cards <huge grin>.

Business Card
But before I go, I feel like I must point you to one of today's Other Posts of Note: If you have not yet read Mary Grace's Bee Still post, you should. It made me cry.
It's that good.

thanks for linking to Mary Grace's Bee post! it was a worthwhile read!
Awww, thanks.
And I just had to say this--posing with your business card keeps your superhero cape just the slightest bit askew, Mr. Sonlight Blogger. Good job staying grounded, even in the midst of the celebrity onslaught. :-)
There ya go, Luke, looking like yer Momma! :D
Doesn't it feel great to have new business cards? It is even better when you have a place to hand them out. I remember when I had gotten sent to Japan shortly after I had gotten new business cards. I got to go through that whole Asian "formally present the card" thing where people politely stare at each others card and act like they are reading it for a few seconds. I just love business cards and the culture differences in they way they are used. We even have some of that here in America. Still, I am not quite convinced that I need something like this yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YBxeDN4tbk
You look as pleased with your business card as my husband did when he got his metal badge (working for DHS he gets to be an "officer" and his badge says "technology officer" so I joke that he gets to arrest people for the misuse of technology or maybe arrest technology behaving badly).
I'll have to go over there---
I wanted to mention, I LOVE Dr. Sax's book. It was such a help to understanding men (and my little man)to me. I was reading sections out loud to my husband the whole time I was reading it.
Stephanie, you are most welcome!
Mary Grace, I like my cape just the slightest bit askew... it keeps me human <smile>. And, honestly, no one asked for my card. No one. I didn't hand my card to a single person. I didn't even get to show them off to anyone. And if I can't be excited with my bloggy friends--who love and care about me--with whom can I exult?
I guess I do look a bit like my mom, Angi. I wonder if it is family resemblance? <smile>
Ken, I didn't know that was a culture. That's fun <smile>. And thanks for the link. That guy needs a better filmmaker, but I've found that the "rich" internet people tend to not spend their money on production values. <smile>
Heather, totally! And, I'll try not to misuse my technology when your husband is around <smile>.
Jessica, my wife and I were blown away by "Why Gender Matters." Great book. Glad you liked it too <smile>.
